BIO
Salomón Beda is a Colombian-American singer-songwriter based between Bogotá and Miami. Raised in a multicultural environment, Salomón absorbed all the music around him from a young age, nourishing himself with the likes of Paul Simon, Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, Carlos Vives, and the Arab-Jewish music of his Syrian and Egyptian grandparents.
Little by little, Salomón began developing a unique global perspective, one that would form the base of his signature sound: a blend of folk and Caribbean music with honest and imaginative lyrics. Pa’lante, his first single, was released in September 2016, and immediately started making waves in the Latin alternative scene. With no label or formal playlist promotion, the single reached the #12 spot on Spotify’s global viral charts. Today it has amassed over 7 million streams.
In mid 2017, Salomón released his debut album, also titled “Pa’lante”. Produced by Juan Pablo Vega, Andrés Landón and Superlitio, and featuring collaborations with Vicente García and Jósean Log, “Pa’lante” built on the first single’s success and has garnered over 16 million streams to date on Spotify alone.
During 2020, Salomón launched his second album titled “Kumbayeo” which takes every fan through a journey into an Island that he imagined. The album was produced by Carles “Campi” Campón and has reached over 10 million streams.
At the moment, Salomón is working on this third Album. He released 3 singles already named Costas de coral, Casa en el Árbol and Te necesito everywhere. On August 11th he will release BACANA, the 4th single off his 3rd album!
